Presented by: Southern Forest Arts and Northcliffe Resource Center

Photo competition details
Southern Forest Arts is thrilled to support our community initiative: Northcliffe’s highly anticipated inaugural Bee Festival: ‘HIVED’, taking place this year and friends at the Northcliffe Community Resource Centre (NCRC) hosting the Photo Competition.
As part of the festivities, we are inviting photographers of all levels—from backyard smartphone snappers to seasoned DSLR pros to explore the incredible world of our favorite pollinators for the 2026 Northcliffe Bee Festival Photo Competition and Exhibition at the Painted Tree Gallery at our local Visitor Center.
The theme is simple, beautiful, and vital: BEES.
Whether you want to capture a macro shot of a honeybee at work, experiment with creative digital editing, or push your artistic boundaries, we want to see your vision. Break the rules, make your own rules, and show us what you’ve got!
Details: 🐝 The Buzz on How to Enter

🏆 Prizes & The Exhibition
Selected photos will be professionally printed and mounted by the NCRC to be showcased in the official Northcliffe Bee Festival Photo Exhibition, opening at Northcliffe’s Painted Tree Gallery around the time of the festival on October 24th.
Even better? Printed exhibition photos are eligible for a share of the $400 prize pool! Awards may span three distinct categories: Open, Youth and People’s Choice
As an extra bonus, once the exhibition concludes, any printed and mounted copies of your photos chosen for display are yours to keep (or you can optionally opt-in to sell them as a fundraiser for the volunteer-run, not-for-profit NCRC)
