Register for this Event: Explore intersections between creativity & conservation featuring guided tour of Understory, Presentations by the Warren Catchments Council, Eco-art forum, opening of the Refugium exhibition and workshops.
Date: Sunday 13th March
Time: The full day program is from 10.30am – 5pm, attend one or all sessions including:
- 10.30am – Guided Tour of Understory (with Fiona Sinclair)
- 12 noon – Presentations from Warren Catchments Council (including ‘Ribbons of Blue’s’ Lessons from lake Jasper by Andy Russell and launch of a new project, ‘Pollinators Aplenty; Creating Minibeast corridors connecting residential land to agriculture’ by Sharon Rose’
- 12.30 – Facilitated open forum about the role of eco-art in the region
- 1pm light lunch and exhibition opening (includes guest curator talk from Ann Copeman and artist talks by selected artists from MIX Artists group)
- 2.30 – choice of two workshops:
- Design your own Pollinators Aplenty garden with Sharon Rose
- Build a ‘Sculptural habitat’ for forest creatures large & small with Peter Hill
Venue: Painted Tree Gallery, Northcliffe Meeting Space & Northcliffe Information & Visitor Centre verandah, Understory Art & Nature Trail
Covid safety measures: All visitors must check in with the Service WA app or manual paper registration. All visitors 12+ must wear a face mask (unless with a valid health exemption). Please use the hand sanitiser provided and adhere to physical distancing measures.
