Event locations & venues

Southern Forest Arts presents events in numerous locations and venues.

Most events are held within the town of Northcliffe. Northcliffe is located approximately four and a half hours south of Perth.

PAINTED TREE GALLERY

Exhibition opening for WAFTA (Western Australian Fibre & Textiles Association) touring exhibition, ‘Sltered States’ presented at the Painted Tree Gallery in Northcliffe, 2018
Painted Tree Gallery book launch for Nic Sinclair, 'Bloodlines' 2018

The Painted Tree Gallery is located within the award-winning co-location facility, the Northcliffe Information and Visitor Centre. This can be found right in the centre of Northcliffe, backed by the beautiful Northcliffe Forest Park.

Many of our exhibitions have an opening or closing event. These are a great opportunity for the community to come together to share, explore and celebrate.

NORTHCLIFFE TOWN HALL

The Northcliffe Town Hall is used by Southern Forest Arts as a venue for larger events such as concerts and theatre performances

The Northcliffe Town Hall was constructed nearly one hundred years ago from local timbers. It has an ‘old fashioned’ charm typical of mill towns from the ’twenties.

With its raised stage, sprung timber floor (excellent for dancing) it is a perfect venue for medium sized gatherings of 80-200 people.

The large supper room and modern kitchen ensure it can provide professional catering amenities.

The two green rooms backstage support positive experiences for performers.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands upon which we live and work, in particular those from Pibbulmun country within the Noongar Nation, where we are based.

We recognise that Aboriginal sovereignty was never ceded and that Australia was and always will be Aboriginal Land.

We pay our respect to Elders past and present and look forward to supporting those that are just emerging.
