Blooming Wild Bins
The Blooming Wild Bins project will help create a sense of place and cultivate community pride and identity within Northcliffe.
Seven metal rubbish bins will be painted in this commission series. Each bin will celebrate a different plant species endemic to the region that is currently endangered or vulnerable to future threat.
Four artists from the Southern Forests and Valleys region have been commissioned by Southern Forest Arts to undertake this public art initiative: Tara Brooks (Manjimup), Alicia Rogerson (Bridgetown), Liz Edmunds (Walpole) and Amara Sinclair-Hill (Northcliffe).
The project has been funded by the Shire of Manjimup, Northcliffe Community Development Group, Regional Arts WA, the State Government of WA and Southern Forest Arts. For more info visit the Southern Forest Arts website.
Painting is commencing during the April school holidays and will be completed before Winter 2021.
