Sculpture Launch: Balga by Sharyn Egan

Join us for the final event in Southern Forest Arts’ 2024 calendar – the launch of Sharyn Egan’s balga sculpture on Thursday 19th December.

Sharyn will travel down from Perth for the event, with local Pibulmen Elder, Aunty Suzanne Kelly, providing a Welcome to Country. Join us afterwards for afternoon tea and help us celebrate vibrant Noongar culture in our region.

The balga was created by Sharyn working with students in 6 schools across the region through the Boodja Ni project: Bridgetown Primary School, Manjimup Education Support Centre, East Manjimup Primary School, Manjimup Senior High School Kearnan College and Pemberton District High School.

The Boodja Ni project was made possible through a Creativity in Schools grant from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
