Book here for FREE children, youth and sculptural workshops with our Artist in Residence, Peter Hill, to create a series of sculptural habitats for creatures large and small along the Understory trail.
As part of Peter Hill’s Home Artist Residency he will be delivering a series of free workshops for children, youth and families (parents, guardians, grandparents, aunties and uncles are all welcome as long as you BYO child).
THERE IS ONE SESSION REMAINING: SATURDAY 5TH MARCH
Participants can create ‘homes’ for birds, bees, bats and other forest creatures (real and imagined). Finished pieces will be included as part of three news sculpture installation along the Understory Art & Nature Trail.
The project uses art as a vehicle to explore ideas about natural habitat loss and conservation. Our aim is to contribute to a sense of hope and feelings of personal agency in the face of climate change. It ties into broader themes about ‘belonging’.
