Southern Forest Arts - 2022 Program

Please note: As the year evolves, so does our program.

We change our plans to meet ever-evolving realities.

For latest info, subscribe to our newsletter, follow us on social media or contact us.

2021 Theme: Voice

Each year we have a thematic curatorial concept for the overall program that helps connect the various elements across artforms, artists and venues. In the 2021-23 period we are experimenting with allocating a core ‘sense’ to serve as foundation for curatorial choices. In 2021 we are focusing upon ‘sight’, in 2022 ‘sound’ and have proposed ‘movement’ for 2023.

2021 PROGRAM

CORE SENSE: SOUND

CORE THEME: VOICE

INTERROGATION: How do we express ourselves? What do we choose to say and not say? Can we speak with our bodies and not just our words? Who and/or what is without voice? How does our experience of life mould the lens through which we express ourselves?

In 2022 we’re shining a light on:
