Artist EOI for new NFT initiative

NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) are opening creative and economic opportunities for visual artists/graphic designers.

SFA hashad recent preliminary discussions with the three directors of Perth based start-up, Organichain, about their creative NFT project called PLANETfarm. We’re wondering if any artists in our network are interested in responding to their call-out for Expressions Of Interest. Details below.

So what is an NFT?

Non-fungible tokens or NFTs are cryptographic assets on blockchains with unique
identification codes and metadata that distinguish them from each other. For example,
NFT’s can be created in the form of digital art, music tunes, music videos, property ownership
deeds, or ownership to any other form of asset.

NFT’s differ from fungible tokens like cryptocurrencies, which are not typically considered to be
assets, but rather means of exchange and stores of value. At the end of this advertisement are
simple examples of NFTs.

Organichain’s Vision

The Organichain vision, deeply influenced by agroecologist and lead team scientist Gavin Kay,
an experienced regenerative agriculture researcher, published sector author, regenerative
farming consultant and farmer of more than 20 years, is:
“To offer healthier food options through the transparency of farming practices,
contributing to the global transition to regenerative food farming and land
management”.

The PLANETfarm NFT Project Concept

The aspiration of PLANETFarm is a “futuristic” educational game that will create avatar
farmers (in digital png format) who will “TerraForm” the wasteland planet earth, beset with
salinisation and arid desertification. The avatar farmers will bring planet earth back to a state
of thriving.

Artist Collaborators
Painters, illustrators or graphic designers are being sought as project collaborators, to
contribute their skills and creative talent in bringing the initial phase of this project to life.

The Nature of Collaboration
To succeed, there must be several principal expertise sets working collaboratively within the
project. The creative artist(s) will visually create the avatars, and technology developers will
implement the generative art creation process and code the creation and deployment of these
NFTs into the NFT marketplace. In-house earth systems expertise informs us about
regenerative agriculture principles underlying the project, and of course business, marketing
and sales expertise is required to ensure distribution success.

Financial Compensation for the Artist
PLANETfarm project is owned by Organichain. So participating in this project means that as
an artist you will be financially compensated through any or a combination of the following
methods:
1) having an equity position in Organichain (the creative owner of the project);
2) receiving royalty income from the re-selling of the NFTs over time; and
3) receiving cash funds from potential art grant money the project can successfully
garner.
The project is a bootstrapped start-up so there is a financial risk in participating in a project of
this type. If you are looking for a secure salaried role then this project may not be for you
unless we are able to secure project funding.

Copyright Ownership
The copyright ownership of the works contributed by the artist rests with the PLANETfarm
project collective; hence the artist(s) being invited to accept equity in the project. Copyright
involves the right to reproduce, to publish, to communicate and to broadcast the work both in
hard copy and digital format.

Financial Risks
In the interests of financial risks disclosure, please know that there are risks associated with
the cryptocurrency markets and trading of NFT assets. We are happy to openly share our
research with interested artists and have an open conversation about this.

PLANETfarm are seeking EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST from artists willing to participate in
this project, who feel aligned with any or all of the aforementioned aspects.

team (2 are in Perth and 1 in Northcliffe) can be arranged quickly.
