Scrap to Sculpture workshop by Neil Elliot, Northcliffe Men's Shed, presented by Southern Forest Arts

Learn basic woodworking and metal working techniques applied to sculpture (in a fun environment)

Facilitator: Neil Elliott

Date: Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd April

Venue: Manjimup Mens Shed, Manjimup

Time: 10am- 4pm daily

Cost: $110 Full-Price or $100 SFA Members

Payment: Payment must be received by end of September 2021 to secure your place.

Catering: Please bring your own lunch or purchase some in town during the lunch break. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Please contact Southern Forest Arts if you have any specific dietary needs.

What to Bring: 

You will need to bring basic safety gear (including closed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves).

Suggestions of appropriate items to bring for making your sculpture: Old wooden chair, scrap timber pieces (shaped), old tools, old car parts (small), wire, rusty nails, old paint brushes, old cutler, old washers, pressed tin, old cogs, old tin signs, old cow bells old tins of paint, old kitchen tools, old horse shoes, bale hooks, old sheep shears, old plough blades.

Places you can source materials: The tip, op shops, verge collections, friends and neighbours

You will also be required to bring some basic tools if possible eg. cordless drill, hammer, screwdriver, saw

Membership: The workshop fee includes membership of Southern Forest Arts. We’ll email a form to you once your payment has been processed.

SCRAP TO SCULPTURE WORKSHOP (Manjimup) with Neil Elliott

Cancellation & refund Policy:

  • If a participant cancels outside of two weeks before the start of the workshop and has paid the full amount of the workshop, the payment will be refunded minus a $20 processing fee.
  • If a participant cancels within two weeks of the first day of the workshop and has paid the full amount there will be no refund.
  • If extenuating circumstances occur such as an emergency, death, or tragedy, the SFA committee will review a request for full refund.
  • If the workshop is cancelled by Southern Forest Arts, a full refund will be given
