ABOUT MIRANDA

Miranda Aitken is a poet and singer songwriter who grew up on the Warren River.  Her poetry and creative non-fiction has been published in several journals and anthologies.  In 2020 she performed at the Nannup Music Festival with her band, The Moody Cows, and she is songwriter and choir leader for the amazing Nannas For Native Forest.  She has co-facilitated poetry workshops at the Origins Buddhist Centre in Balingup, and is now running poetry courses in her home town of Margaret River.  Her work often expresses a deep connection to place, in particular our formative landscapes, and she writes the river as a motif of the life journey.
