Nat Sholtz, artist of London and Persian descent, currently living in Perth and frequently working in regional WA communities, will present a one day painting workshop to complement her exhibition, ‘Skin in the Game. This workshop will explore the complex, fascinating and challenging world of skin tones (in art and life).
The workshop has been designed to be suitable for all lievlyes of creative experience – from the complete novice who just wants to ‘have a go’ to more experienced artists who want to explore the nuance of capturing specific skin tones and the impact of these colours on the resulting artwork.
The workshop is based around a portrait photograph (please bring one along) that will be modified in a number of ways across the day as you explore the messages, tips and tricks that occur when we try to represent human skin.
Workshop Fee: $110
This fee includes Southern Forest Arts Membership, some materials and light refreshments.
Please bring: your own lunch, a colour portrait photograph.
Venue: The Meeting Space, Northcliffe Information & Visitor Centre
